The collection consists of mainly Chicago newspaper clippings, 1928-1963. One from Chicago, Italian-interest paper, Fra Noi, Feb. 1963. Also, Rand McNally 100th Anniversary commemorative folder entitled The Year was 1856, enclosing the Hesler portrait of Lincoln. Modern copy of 1884 Notman / Travelers Insurance Co. composite print of Lincoln and 8 generals. Special edition of the Boston Sunday American entitled Life of Lincoln Told in Pictures: From the Cradle to the Grave.

Abraham Lincoln (born February 12, 1809, Sinking Spring Farm near Hodgenville, Kentucky-died April 15, 1865, Washington, D.C.) was the sixteenth President of the United States from 1861 until his death by assassination.
